Gosford Summer Projects.

Hi All

The purpose of the Summer project is to build on skills that you have learned over the last year and also give you the opportunity to work in an area of Media you may not have done before.

I am in the process of designing the course for A2 and any feedback you have is valuable - please blog or send me an email.

Project Choices

Reading Connects documentary: Mrs Wawrzyniak launched a reading connects scheme in school at the start of 2008. More information can be found here http://www.literacytrust.org.uk/readingconnects/

Mrs Wawrzyniak would like a short documentary filmed and a photo montage created of students being caught reading. Please arrange an appointment with Mrs Wawrzyniak directly to discuss further details.

Radio show: A 20 minute pre-recorded radio show, edited via ‘audacity’. The show should have interviews, a jingle and include a competition. It should be advertised within school and students who decide on this project should consider further involvement in school radio next year.

School magazine: An A5 sized colour magazine created for all students at school. It can include information on school events, as well as interviews with students/teachers and articles which teenagers at Gosford would like to read. You may like to consider selling copies for a small price to raise money for the reading connects project.

Documentary for Marlow Camp/Activities week: Many of you are attending Marlow Camp this year along with lots of other exciting visits and I would like to produce a documentary on events that week. Please see miss Jones for further information and ideas.
